Iris Nobile by Acqua Di ParmaIris Nobile is a female fragrance available as an Eau de Toilette and an Eau de Parfum. It is suitable for anyone of any age. It could be worn at any time of the day, and I would use it all year round. It is available in 50ml sizes. The packaging It comes in quite a short bottle which is thin at the bottom and widening towards the top, made of clear glass. On the front in silver is "Acqua Di Parma" with "Iris Nobile" written in a purple colour to indicate the Iris flower. I think it has a slightly cheap looking plastic top, which is a bit disappointing. Really, the bottle of a perfume should be as classy as possible. The fragrance This is a perfume for an older lady. It does not remind me of the other fragrances by Acqua Di Parma, and in fact when I first smelt it I thought it had gone off! The smell has rose like hints, but it definitely is not rose, it is presumably the fragrance of irises, although I am not completely familiar with the smell of Iris flowers. To me it is a little like fresias. It is certainly very floral and strong, with hints of Ylang Ylang and Patchouli. It brings to mind pink-rinses and the musky nature of old-people's homes. It is certainly not a trendy young perfume and it would be suitable for Grandmothers to wear while they go to Bingo. This puzzles me because I do not think that Acqua Di Parma is trying to sell to this market, and other fragrances by this brand are aimed at sophisticated people in their 30s to 50s. Definitely a fragrance to avoid, this one makes me sneeze. |
