Delices de Cartier by Cartier

Delices de Cartier is a female fragrance available as an Eau de Toilette. It is suitable for trendy ladies in their thirties and forties. It could be worn in the evening, and I would use it all year round. It is available in 100ml and 50ml sizes.

The packaging

The perfume comes in quite a nice bottle, which is plum shaped or apple shaped. It is red and clear in stripes, and has a silver vaporizer, with the name of the perfume in black on it. The lid is clear glass in a leaf shape with a red spot in the middle. Over all it gives the bottle the effect of being a large cherry!

The fragrance

When you first smell this, it is quite a strong perfume and rather sweet. I wouldn't automatically think of cherries, but rather I would notice the peppery fragrance with floral notes. There is a sandal-wood after smell. The strength indicates to me that this should be worn in the evenings only, and I would avoid it as a daytime fragrance. It's probably a bit too over-powering for me to wear in all honesty. It is a really voluptuous kind of perfume. It boasts of the inclusion of Toka Bean on the packaging, but who knows what that smells like!

It reminds me of the catwalk somehow. It is certainly a strong heady smell more suitable for parties than the office. Definitely an evening fragrance for someone who wants to make a statement. As the fragrance fades the cherry notes come through more clearly and it becomes a more bareable perfume. It is probably aimed at women in their 30s to 50s due to the heady nature of the smell. It makes me feel bold and confident. Everyone around you would know about it if you wore it.
