RWD PLAY FFWD by Givenchy

A fresh citrus fragrance for young guys.

RWD PLAY FFWD is a male fragrance available as an Eau de Toilette. It is suitable for anyone in their twenties and thirties. It could be worn in the day time, and I would use it all year round. It is available in 100ml and 50ml sizes.

The packaging

This male fragrance comes in a funky bottle designed to look like a mobile phone or an iPod. It has the words "Play Rewind Fastforward" written on it, with PLAY highlighted in red on the bottle. The lid is black to contrast with the white bottle, and the bit where the vaporizer comes out is red.

The fragrance

I think this is quite a fresh smell, I think a very typical man's aftershave. It is quite bog-standard, there is nothing different or outstanding about it. It is fresh with grapefruit, oranges, or citrus. There is a hint of wood to it. The after-smell is woody, and it smells like a very typical young guy's aftershave. There is nothing horrible or un-pleasant about it at all, it is in fact pleasant to smell, but rather run-of-the-mill for young male fragrances. But puzzlingly Givenchy is quite an expensive make, so it may not be aimed at teenagers. It's definitely suitable for daytime use, in the office, with a simple fresh smell and not much more.

How does it make you feel

Wearing this does very little for me. I wouldn't want to smell it all the time, I'd rather smell something a bit different. It has nothing remarkable or deep about it. All in all, I'd give this one a thumbs-down.
